A special evening blending history, science and myth. We will climb up to the Fortress to watch the sunset over the Rada of Portoferraio. We will tour the monument with Park Guides and learn
how to find our way among the stars, the constellations and the myths associated with them. An unmissable event for astronomy enthusiasts and photographers. A moonless evening under one of Italy’s darkest skies.
Meeting point: 8.30 pm, Le Casermette car park, Strada per il Volterraio – Duration: 3 hours – Difficulty:
moderate – Hiking boots and lighting equipment (headlamps and torches) compulsory – By
reservation. Ticket €20, concessions €10 for residents and over-65s. Concessions €5 for residents
over 65. Free for resident students (up to 19 years old). Minimum age 12 years.
