On Monte Calamita, in Capoliveri, the Miniera del Ginevro presents its Experience 2026: from the light of sunset to the heart of the mountain, a journey through history, emotion and underground adventure that significantly expands the ways visitors can explore the site.
The offer is structured around several different itineraries, designed for those who want to experience the mine in different ways — by day, at sunset, or in the dark of the gallery.
Full Experience
The complete itinerary allows visitors to explore the mine both above and below ground, from the outer worksites down to the underground levels, capturing every aspect of the site: from the surface mining history to the descent into the galleries.
Night Tour
When the sun sets, the Miniera del Ginevro reveals itself in a different light. A guided tour through the gallery, illuminated only by the visitors' helmet lamps, leads into an authentic, silent and surprising world. The experience is accompanied by expert guides, lasts approximately two hours, and comfortable, sturdy footwear is recommended.
The Miner's Medal
One of the most original new features of the programme: a historic gesture turned into experience. Each visitor receives a numbered medallion, marks their entry into the gallery, and collects it again on the way out — a small ritual inspired by an authentic practice once carried out by the miners themselves, adding a deeper layer of immersion and storytelling to the visit, as well as a keepsake of the experience.
Multisensory Mine
For those who want to experience the site with all their senses: a journey that combines sound, light and atmosphere for a fully immersive experience of the mining landscape, going well beyond a standard guided tour.
Aperitivo in the Mine
The special experiences within the Experience 2026 programme also include a toast in the heart of the mine: a convivial moment in an extraordinary setting, designed to make the visit truly unforgettable.
