The Roman Mosaicist: Techniques, Colours and Craftsmanship
Workshop at the Roman Villa delle Grotte, Portoferraio
Roman patrician villas were decorated not only with splendid marble and terracotta, but also and above all with marvellous mosaics that covered walls and floors. After an introduction to the main techniques of mosaic art, participants will have the opportunity to create their own mosaic.
