Tuscan Archipelago Museum Network
The Tuscan Archipelago Museum Network (S.M.AR.T.) brings together museums, archaeological sites, historic places and cultural landscapes spread across the Tuscan islands.
Founded in 2020, it promotes the shared enhancement of a unique heritage that includes Medici fortresses, Roman villas, maritime museums, mining sites, contemporary art and the memories of island communities.
A cultural network that transforms the archipelago into one great open-air museum.

Mission
S.M.AR.T. is a territorial museum network open to collaboration with public and private cultural institutions across the archipelago.
It was created from a shared desire to enhance the cultural offer through cooperation, integration, promotion and new development strategies, strengthening a territorial identity of exceptional value.
A Heritage to Discover
The museums and heritage sites of the Tuscan Archipelago offer historical, artistic and natural experiences of remarkable variety: archaeological museums, ancient fortresses, collections of modern and contemporary art, geo-mineralogical museums, mines and collections that tell a millennia-old story.
Places where the stories of Etruscans, Romans and pirates intertwine with those of great historical figures, from Cosimo I de’ Medici to Napoleon Bonaparte.
